Who we are
We are a non-governmental organization, based in Switzerland. We feel it is our obligation to establish a globally active NGO that cares for the interests of rural people and future generations all over the world.
We create services to facilitate energy supply to rural areas. At the same time we want to bring socio-economic and sustainable development.
But especially we would like that people and animals living in rural areas get the opportunity to live as they want to, to preserve their habitat and to preserve their livelihood. The real needs of rural inhabitants have often been neglected or addressed in an undesirable way.

About the founder:
The founder Cecile van Hezik, studied a great deal, just to find out that in fact a lot of knowledge cannot be found in books nor at the internet. Growing up in a more rural area of Holland, she already appreciated the cows and quietness of the countryside at a young age. Over the years she has seen many areas change, not only in Holland but also at other places in the world. And found out that people living in these changing rural areas, have had many mixed feelings. It is her wish to strengthen their livelihoods and their environment.
